From scratch.

I am a resort town for germs who rode the toddler bus home from school

Yup, been sick the last, oh, month or so.  Ever since Sami switched schools, I’ve had strep, colds, sinus infections and currently I am suffering from a viral infection in my throat around my tonsils.  (At least it doesn’t require a tonsilectomy, as the triage nurse at first suspected.)

Sami gets sick for 6 to 12-hour periods but bounces back from them before I’ve even caught the little buggers.  I wind up down for more like 6 to 12 days per, and by the time I’m on the recovery road from one nasty bug, another one is kicking me while I’m down.

I’m so over this.  However, my doctor informs me that I’m not doing anything wrong, health care wise.  It’s just the worst end of the normal effects of having a kid in school.

At least she’s getting a strong immune system out of it.  My mother in law never gets sick either, and no wonder – she taught kindergarten for 40 years.  Nobody knows how to stay healthy better than someone who works with goopy kids all the time.

This, too, shall pass.  Eventually.  I am just tired of carrying little friends around in my throat already!
