From scratch.

Walking dead.

I know I owe a story about meeting John Oliver, and I’ve been missing in action for about two weeks now.  I had strep and an ear infection last week, spent a lovely weekend with Christine and Greg and my husband and daughter, and am now slammed beyond recognition at work.

However, from out of nowhere the last two days, I’ve felt utterly drained.  Someone has disconnected the power source from my brain, tethered my arms and legs with rubber bands, and thrown me under the bus.  (I’ve been back to mostly normal since last Thursday, so I don’t think it’s lingering badness from the strep.)

I’ve been eating like a horse (you think I’m kidding?) but am still losing weight.  Which, don’t get me wrong, is a positive thing; I’m just concerned about weight loss for the wrong reasons.  I don’t want to be or look sick, I want to feel normal and lose weight healthfully.

I’m hoping to pick up some steam soon.  I need to catch up on some work over the weekend, but otherwise I have nothing momentous planned, just a few low key things.  Hopefully I’ll get back to myself by Monday.

Completely drained, feeling stupid, and eating constantly…. you’re not pregnant? Cuz that really sounds like me…

*hugs* Call me before I give birth! I’m a ticking time bomb here!

I assure you, I’m not pregnant. Funny, I hadn’t heard that one before! ;)

Ha, that’s what I came in to say as well; well, the pregnant part, anyway. Sounds like you should get an appointment for a blood and pee test, make sure all your levels are normal-ish. Weak and tired for no discernible reason is scary.

    Feel better soon!
